4x4 Explorer XLT - Beaucoup de nouvelles pieces - Lots of new parts
Hello everyone!
we are going to sell our beloved 94 Explorer XLT that took us all across Canada the past year.
We are selling because we are going back home to Germany in two weeks.
Perfect for Winter(4x4) or your roadtrip(a queen size matress fits perfectly in the back) etc.
Our Truck is from Vancouver(no Salt), and spent only one winter in Montreal
It is allready licensed in quebec and in order to do so we had to do a mechanical inspection and change Brakes and Suspension. (Last December)
According to Carfax the Transmission has been changed/serviced at around 165,000 km
Current milage is 240,000. Tires are Winter.
We never had a single Problem on the road since we started in Vancouver 22,000 km ago. The truck started really easy even at minus 30.
4x4 and transfercase working well, transmission shifts smoothly and engine runs like a charm.
I didnt have to refill any fluid but gas since i changed oil 7,000 km ago.
New Parts:
Brake Line & cylinders rear - that was a necessity when we bought it in Vancouver last year
Radiator+ Hoses+Heater Valve - i did that this Spring to get safely around all the Eastern Provinces and Labrador(which we did!)
New Warn Standard Locking Hubs for 4x4 (Montreal Winter made me buy those!)
Complete Front Brake Job (New Discs+Pads+ABS Sensors)
New Front Suspension (Ball joints, Radius arm Bushing, Radius arm Brackets)
Complete new Tie Rods
New Exhaust (Interm. pipe, Muffler, Tail Pipe, Hangers) - Last December for the mechanical inspection
thats 1500$ plus all the labour -- i spent days
Now the bad things:
rear Bumper is rusty (if you care i think you can easy find a better one in all those scrap yards around)
two small dents in the Windshield(not cracked, darn gravel in Labrador)
paint is coming of the hood(no rust however)
Tires are pretty worn (good for maybe one more Winter, depending on how far you want to go)
inside has marks of 4 month living there
We are still on our way back to Montreal, viewing could be arranged starting August 5.
Please write me an eMail or call/text (allthough we probably wont have cellphone reception every day for the next few days)
Chris&Anne
